ordered: 1. fried shrimp and pork wonton, 2. vegetarian egg fried rice, 3. shrimp and pork wonton noodle soup, and 4. xiao long bao (pork dumplings) I liked the shrimp and pork wonton noodle soup as well as the fried shrimp and pork wonton! both dishes were flavorful and had a nice balance of textures. however, the vegetarian egg fried rice and xiao long bao tasted pretty basic, lacking any standout flavors. the xiao long bao could have had a richer broth, while the fried rice was a bit bland. this place is great for family lunch or dinner, with big spaces and plenty of seating inside.

We had a yummy dinner at DTF world square branch. We waited 10 minutes before it opened for dinner and staffs were helpful. We have been to other DTF shops In Taiwan and Singapore. The food quality is great and yummy as always. Beef noodle soup and spicy dumplings are very delicious. If you are the dumpling fans , This is the place you should try in Sydney.

Here’s the review with “I” replaced by “we”: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and it’s safe to say that it was an experience we won’t forget anytime soon! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles and outstanding customer service. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, attending to every detail with remarkable attentiveness. Service was incredibly quick too, and everything arrived at the table promptly, despite the busy environment. Now, on to the food — which was absolutely incredible. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors, vibrant in presentation, and clearly crafted with a lot of care. The quality of ingredients and attention to detail in every bite made this meal stand out. We started with the Pork Dumpling (Xiao Long Bao), which was perfectly steamed with a thin, delicate wrapper that melted in our mouths. The filling was rich, juicy, and bursting with flavor. It’s safe to say that this dish has quickly become one of our all-time favorites. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting, especially if you’re a fan of dumplings; these were some of the best we’ve ever had. Next up, we tried the Vegetarian Egg Fried Rice with Mushroom & Truffle Oil. This dish was a delightful surprise! The truffle oil added an earthy aroma that beautifully complemented the mushrooms. The fried rice was light, fluffy, and cooked to perfection. It made for an ideal pairing with some of the other dishes, and it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a vegetarian option with a sophisticated twist. The Sweet & Sour Pineapple Chicken was the highlight of our meal. This dish was absolutely delicious and beautifully balanced with the tangy sweetness of pineapple and a hint of savory flavor from the chicken. The flavors melded together wonderfully, and the chicken was tender, succulent, and cooked just right. If there’s one dish we would recommend as a must-try, it’s definitely this one. This sweet and sour chicken is in a league of its own. Lastly, we had the XO Egg Fried Rice with Chicken. This was a fantastic dish with rich, bold flavors from the XO sauce, which added a slightly spicy, umami taste to the rice. The chicken pieces were juicy and flavorful, making this dish another highlight of the meal. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for a dish with a bit of a kick to it. Overall, every dish was incredibly well-prepared and delicious, making this one of our favorite dining experiences in a long time. The portion sizes were generous, and we felt like we got excellent value for money. In addition to the outstanding food and quick service, the atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall experience. The decor is tasteful and welcoming, creating a relaxing ambiance that’s perfect for a meal with friends or family. To sum it up, we can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough! The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and a cozy atmosphere makes this place a true gem. We’ll definitely be back soon to try even more of their amazing dishes.

My first time visiting Din Tai Fung at World Square and after a bit of navigating, I managed to find my way to the restaurant. It is located on the upper level so its easiest to head up from George St vs Goulburn St (FYI). We ordered quite a bit from the menu as we were a group of 12, the highlight for me was the Spicy Pork and Prawn Dumplings with Noodles, Silken Tofu with Pork Floss and Century Egg (something different) and Xiao Long Bao. The remainder of what we tried was standard with one dumpling (wasn't sure what it was as I wasn't in control of the tablets) being the exception - it was unfortunately bland and tasteless. Upon arrival we had to wait an extra 5 to 10 minutes for our table (not a problem) and was presented with 2 tablets for ease of ordering. I can understand the concept and the reasoning but it resulted in over ordering (by a lot) and multiple double up of dishes which saw us leaving with 8 containers of food. My recommendation is for the venue to ask if 2 is required beforehand to eliminate excess food wastage (we were lucky some were heading home after dinner that could take home the extras) I have given the venue a generous 4 because overall we had a good meal, they have a home delivery option (frozen dumplings/noofles etc) if you want a mid week fix from home and we werent rushed to consume our meal to free up space
